Thomas Salerno is a freelance writer, aspiring novelist, bookworm, and all-around nerd born and raised on Long Island, New York. He received a BA in anthropology from Stony Brook University and volunteered for several years as a fossil preparator and collections assistant for the American Museum of Natural History.
